Description

Santorini wild capers are notorious for self-growing in bushes in the most inaccessible areas, in cliffs and along the coastline. They are the small flower buds that are collected one by one by hand by “yiayiades” – the process is their daily exercise! They are rich in vitamins and antioxidants and have a unique spicy taste, which makes them essential for the Greek larder. Serve on the top of Greek, nicoise or dakos salad and greate for spicing up dishes such as pasta with bottarga or grilled fish.
