Hochdeutsch Elderflower 2020

(1 customer review)

Bone-dry and refreshing bottled botanical made from home-grown botanicals and grape juice

Also known as ‘gru-vee’. From the light bodied, crisp, fresh and lean style to the fuller-bodied riper styles, GV or gru-vee as it’s become known, can deliver it all. The hallmark of a good Gruner is its acidity level which is always high. Don’t be fooled by its delicate expression as it first hits your palate; this grape tends to open up on the mid-palate to express citrus, spicy and mineral notes. Always with a good length. The younger wine for everyday enjoyment tend to show some white pepper and lime notes. At the more premium end, single vineyard produced wines or slightly aged styles, have a richer body and mouthfeel with complexity

I opened this with a few of my ‘mum’ friends after school pick up the other day and everyone loved it! It was guilt free, enjoyment drinking! Lower in alcohol but no means lacking in flavour. A delicate and delightful wine that I will be buying again and taking along to my next afternoon/evening invite!
