A wine that is over 13.5% alcohol with more complex flavours and a richer mouthfeel. Factors such as climate, grape variety, ageing in the winery, residual sugar level and alcohol level affect the fullness of flavour and will be good clues to look out for. A full-bodied wine would the equivalent to blue-top whole fat milk. Knowing your preference towards a light bodied wine vs a full-bodied wine can help you to find a wine you’ll enjoy. If you enjoy full-bodied wines with bold intensity, look out for these grape varieties; whites with 3+ years ageing, for the reds Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Mavrud

Description

The Barbaresco Maria Adelaide is made from a very special selection of grapes in memory of Bruno Rocca’s mother who lived at Rabaja from 1921 until she passed away in 2006. The wine is deep garnet red in colour with expressive black fruit, blackberry and plum aromas, woven together with delicate perfumes of violet, rose and a hint of spice. Full bodied, rich with a textured mid palate and a long persistent length. Langhe at its best! Vegan, Vegetarian, Sustainable and Practising Organic. As with all aged and full bodied Nebbiolo this wine pairs really well with chicken stir fry, roast chicken, oven roasted pork with barbeque sauce, beef, veal or risotto with mushrooms or truffles, tomato based sauces, garlic, olives, spice driven Asian dishes.
