Gogu

Gogu’s wine adventure started fifteen years ago following Ilie Gogu’s desire to create exceptional, authentic Moldovan wines. Traditionally, the Stefan-Voda region was known for its red grape varieties but in addition to this Ilie decided to experiment with whites, international varieties but especially the indigenous Viorica and Riton. This daring proved perceptive as the results are excellent with wines of excellent structure, aromatic fruit focus and balance.  

A member of the Moldovan Small Wine Producers Association, the Gogu winery is expanding to allow a greater production range. Ilie’s efforts have been recognized on the international stage with a Berliner Wine Trophy and other medals at Mundus Vini and more.
